Unable to Import & Export Data with AOL Desktop Gold


If you are unable to import and export data with AOL Desktop Gold, then it can because of many reasons. But one of the most important reason is due to malicious malware and viruses, even when you use two different version of Desktop software on both the system. That is why it is always important to Download AOL Desktop Gold on both of your systems and that too similar version. Once you have installed the software, you need to follow the correct method to import and export data which is given below in the blog.

Export and Import Mail, Other Personal Data in AOL Desktop Gold
You can transfer personal data including favorites, mail and address book in AOL Desktop Gold to keep them safe and secure.
·        Login to your account in AOL Desktop Gold.
·        Then you have to click on the option of Settings > General Settings > My Data Tab > Import or Export
·        Now you have to select the file to be transferred.
·        Create the password for the file while exporting data that you need to enter while importing it on your new computer.
·        You can access the data on you AOL Gold, once it is successfully imported.

Import Email and Data from the Previous Version of Desktop Gold
If while exporting the data you used an older version of Desktop software, then you need to use the same version of AOL Desktop Gold on the new computer.
·        You first have to log in to your AOL Desktop Gold account.
·        Here, you need to click on the option of File > Import Wizard
·        Select the files; you want to import and then press OK to initiate importing.

Manually Import Data from a PFC File
If you want to import the data manually with the help of PFC file present on your computer, then do as given:
·        Switch on your system and go to AOL Desktop and then log in to your account.
·        Click on the Settings> General Settings> My Data Tab.
·        Now you have to hit on the PFC Import option and then start selecting the file you want to import.
·        Once imported, you can access it on your AOL Desktop Gold.

However, remember to AOL Desktop Gold Install of the same version on your both systems, so that you don’t have to witness any error while transferring the data.
